This is a testimonial from a paramedic that doesn’t ride but is commiting a lot of time to help out and participate in event. His name is Jim Preston and will be contributing to blog with RideWild.
I figured the Ride North Moto would be a great opportunity to first of all get some brisk cold air, but secondly (and most importantly) get the word out there about a couple of great organizations: Waypoints and Sheep Dog Lodge. Waypoints is a community services association that works to end domestic-family violence, sexual assault, abuse and homelessness. Sheep Dog Lodge (this one is close to the heart) is getaway for first responders across the province to decompress. Being a first responder myself for the past few years means a lot knowing there are places out there dedicated to help in mental health for EMS, Police, and Fire services.
