The idea of RIDE NORTH MOTO came about from three riders in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada.

Having the opportunity to help raise awareness for a fellow first responder was more than enough reason to take on the challenge of a winter ice road.

In 2018, we launched the first group ride and it has been running annually ever since.

Passing through Canada’s Largest National Park, the Wood Buffalo National Park from end to end which can only be completed during winter months, which allows access to view endangered Wood Bison in their natural habitat.

Our passion has grown to help local organizations by challenging the riders to explore remote areas of Northern Alberta. From winter ice roads that are only passable during three winter months to exploring the boreal forests near Fort McMurray in the summer. We have helped raise support with Waypoints Fort McMurray and The Sheepdog Lodge.

RIDE NORTH MOTO has now grown into hosting our two annual events: ICE ROAD EXPEDITION in the winter and a summer bash called the BOREAL ROYALE.

Both events keep growing in support of our local SPCA and animal shelter. In 2023, the group delivered just over 1,000kg of pet food to the Wood Buffalo Region of Alberta.

We encourage all to visit their local shelter, lend a hand, walk an animal or donate if they can. Every little bit helps these loving, furry critters who cannot advocate for themselves.

If you want to help us reach out goal of delivering 2,500kg of pet food in 2024, please donate below.
