NonProfit Highlight: A Note from Jim Preston
This is a testimonial from a paramedic. He doesn’t ride, but he is committing a lot of time to help out and participate in the event.
His name is Jim Preston and will be contributing to blog with RideWild.
I figured the Ride North Moto would be a great opportunity to, first of all, get some brisk cold air. But secondly (and most importantly), to get the word out there about a couple of great organizations: Waypoints and Sheep Dog Lodge.
Waypoints is a community services association that works to end domestic-family violence, sexual assault, abuse and homelessness.
Sheep Dog Lodge (this one is close to the heart) is a getaway for first responders across the province to decompress. Being a first responder myself for the past few years means a lot knowing there are places out there dedicated to helping in mental health for EMS, Police, and Fire services.
Definitely take the time to learn more about these great organizations, and how you can support their cause.
